General Information on Transfer Category 'Position Values '

Position values are stored in a flat structure. This means that for data transfer there is no header/position structure.

Postion values are transferred using receiver structure JBIUBWE

Receiver Structure

The receiver structure contains the position identification of the position.

Depending on the product category, positions are divided into three categories:

  • Securities (product category 010 to 160. For example stocks, investment certificates, bonds, warrant bonds, convertible bonds, warrants)
  • Foreign exchange (product category 600)
  • Listed derivatives (product category 700 and 750: futures, listed options)

The following four fields are relevant for all three position categories:

BUKRS    Company code

DBSTND    Position date

GSART    Product type

SMODE    Mode (I = insert/create U = update/change, D = delete)   

In addition, the amount, quantity and price fields must all be entered according to product category and quotation type.

FLA = Floating Average Price

Securities : ('R' = required field, 'O' = optional field, 'D' = dependant)

RANLW         Securities ID number (R)

RLDEPO         Securities account (R)

BGLDKU        FLA - Securities price (amount) for example, stocks (D)

BPGLDKU     FLA - Securities price (percentage)for example, bonds (D)

EGLDKU        FLA - Effective interest only relevant for zero bonds (D)

(Unit-quoted):

ABMENG         Position - number of units (D)

ABMENGV     Position - number of units according to value date. Only relevant for bonds (D)

(Percentage-quoted):

BBBETR         Position - nominal amount (D)

BBBETRV     Position - nominal amount according to value date. Only relevant for bonds (D)

Foreign exchange:

WBWAER         Currency (R)

Special Features

  • It is not possible to carry out a duplicate transfer of position values for a position object and a position date.
  • Note that you need to transfer the securities ID number (RANLW) in its full length with leading zeros.
  • The system accepts position values containing entries in the amount, quantity and price fields equal to zero. This means that the sytem interprets initial values in these fields as zeros.
  • Fields ABKNTK and ABKNTKV in receiver structure JBIUBWE are no longer used.

Check concept

The system carries out various checks, according to the validation levels set at the start of the external data transfer:

  • Check 0: (not supported)
  • Check 1: (not supported)
  • Check 2: Check of required/optional fields, fixed values and value tables, check against database, mode field overridden (if a record, which is to be added, already exists on the database, the mode field is set to "U".)
  • Check 3: Check of required/optional fields, fixed values and value tables, check against database, mode field not overridden (if a record, which is to be added, already exists on the database, the mode field is not changed. Instead an error message is shown and the corresponding record is marked as incorrect.)

No unchecked data can be transferred. Therefore checks 0 and 1 are not supported.
