General Information on the Transfer Category 'Positions'
The system stores positions in a flat structure. This means that for the data transfer there is no header/item structure.
Depending on the product category, positions are divided into three categories:
- Securities (product category 010 to 160. For example, stocks, investment certificates, bonds, warrant bonds, convertible bonds, warrants)
- Foreign Exchange (product category 600)
- Lised Derivatives (product category 700 and 750: futures, listed options)
Receiver Structure
The receiver structure contains the position indicator for the position. The following four fields are relevant for all three position categories:
BUKRS Company code
GSART Product type
SGLDKR Position calculation indicator
1 = Calculate position values from single transactions/orders
2 = Transfer of position values and FLA
SMODE Mode (I = insert/create, U = update/change)
Depending on the product category, you must also specify additional position indicators:
Securities
RANLW Security ID number
RHANPL Stock exchange
RLDEPO Securities account
Foreign Exchange
RPORTB Portfolio
WBWAER Currency
Listed Derivatives
RANLW Securities ID number
RHANPL Stock exchange
RLDEPO Securities account
SSHLNG Short/long indicator (S = Short, L = Long)
Special Features
- You are able to transfer a position only once in a transfer. If you enter a position more than once, it will not be recognized in the data transfer. This also applies to the transfer of a combination of inserts and updates.
- Number assignment takes place for the internal numbering of positions. For this to happen, you need to maintain a number range 01 with internal number assignment using transaction SNRO for number range object ISB_RBESTO.
- Note that the security ID number (RANLW) must be transferred in its full length with leading zeros.
Check Concept
Different checks are carried out, according to the verification levels defined at the start of the external data transfer:
- Check 0: (not supported)
- Check 1: (not supported)
- Check 2: Check of required/optional fields, fixed values and value table, check with database, mode field is overwritten (if a record is to be added that is already on the database, then the mode field is set to "U".)
- Check 3: Check of required/optional fields, fixed values and value tables, check with database, mode field is not overwritten (if a record is to be added that is already on the database, the mode field is not changed. Instead, an error message appears and the corresponding record is shown as incorrect.)
In the data transfer of positions, no unchecked data can be transferred. For this reason checks 0 and 1 are not supported.
