You must have executed the report Initial Set-up for NQF (RPUNQF_SETUPW0) before checking this step, as it is through this report that your system has been updated accordingly.

Activities

  1. Execute the activity.
  2. If any of the fields do not have the correct entry as indicated below, make the appropriate change(s) in your system.
  3. The following three entries should be configured:
    • In the ID field 91110 and in the Scale field NQF Outcome Scale.
    • In the ID field 91111 and in the Scale field NQF Unit Standard Scale.
    • In the ID field 91112 and in the Scale field NQF Qualification Scale.

Note: If you have already assigned the scale ID numbers as listed above, then assign different ID numbers (which you must also maintain in the view cluster VC_T5W8H against the appraisal template NQF).

For each of the scales created above, you must check the configured proficiency descriptions by selecting the entry in question and choose Proficiency description.

  1. For the NQF Outcome Scale, the following descriptions should be configured:
    • In the ID field 0000 and in the Proficiency field Not required.
    • In the ID field 0001 and in the Proficiency field Not yet assessed.
    • In the ID field 0002 and in the Proficiency field Not yet competent.
    • In the ID field 0003 and in the Proficiency field Competent.
  2. For the NQF Unit Standard Scale, the following descriptions should be configured:
    • In the ID field 0000 and in the Proficiency field Not required.
    • In the ID field 0001 and in the Proficiency field Yes.
    • In the ID field 0002 and in the Proficiency field No.
  3. For the NQF Qualification Scale, the following descriptions should be configured:
    • In the ID field 0000 and in the Proficiency field Not required.
    • In the ID field 0001 and in the Proficiency field None.
    • In the ID field 0002 and in the Proficiency field Partly.
    • In the ID field 0003 and in the Proficiency field Complete.
