In the following steps you can adapt the text and the icon of a tab page in the detail area to match your requirements.

You can use a tab page in one or more tabs. There are two different cases:

  • You want to change the tab page title in all tabs where the tab page is used (see step 1).
  • You want to change the tab page title and icon in one tab (see step 2).

Activities

  1. In the Change Tab Page Title for All Tabs step, make the following settings:
    • In the Language field, specify the language of the new tab page title.
    • In the Tab Page field, enter the key of the tab page for which you want to display the header.
    • In the Text field, enter the new text.

      Note:

      You cannot change icons in this step. In the next step, however, it is explained how to change icons.

  2. Change Tab Page Title and Icon in a Tab:

    In this step you can overwrite attributes of entries in the table T77OMTABUS. Make the following settings:

    • In the Scenario field, enter the hierarchy framework scenario in which you want to change the tab page title or icon.
    • In the Object Type field, enter the object type for which the tab page is displayed in this scenario.
    • In the Tab Page field, enter the tab page key.
    • In the FM for Icon field, enter the name of a function module. If no function module is displayed, the detail object does not display an icon, unless the tab page is infotype-specific. On infotype-specific tab pages a green tick shows that the infotype data has been maintained.
      • The interface of this function module must be identical to the interface of the CB_OM_DETAILSCREEN_ICONS function module. The function module must return an icon name. You can see icon names using the transaction ICON.
    • In the FM for Tab Page Title field, enter the name of a function module if the tab page title is to be dynamically determined using a function module.
      • The interface of this function module must be identical to the interface of the CB_OM_DETAILSCREEN_TEXT function module. The function module must return an text. If there is no entry in the FM for Tab Page Text field, the system displays the tab page title that you specified when defining the tab page.
    • Transfer all other data fields in the data record from the T77OMTABUS view.
