In this step, you make the settings for the graphical editing of structures (organizational plans, for example). You can make settings for line types, colors, and object shapes, depending on the design profile selected for the graphic.
Two profiles are supported for the graphical representation of structures:
- In the "Type-oriented" profile, you can set the line types, colors and object shapes depending on the relationship or object type.
- In the "Status-oriented" profile, you can set the line types, colors and object shapes depending on the status of the object or relationship.
The settings are combined into a design. This design is combined with a data set and a tool box to form a context, which can be application- or user-specific. See also the documentation on the steps Specify Context-Dependent Standard Assignment and Specify User-Specific Assignment.
Example
When you display objects in the "Type-oriented" profile, each organizational unit should appear as a green hexagon and each B002 relationship should appear as a dotted line:
Under "Type-oriented (objects)", enter a 9 for "Box shape", a 12 for "Box color" and a 7 for "Text color". Under "Type-oriented (relationships)", enter a 1 for the B002 relationship for "Line type".
Standard settings
In the SAP Standard system, the designs STANDARD, RHCGROUP and PPOM are created. RHCGROUP is used for the event hierarchy and PPOM to create the organizational plan.
Activities
- Check the standard settings. If you require your own design, we recommend that you copy a design that already exists and adjust it to meet your requirements.
- If necessary, create a new design.
- To specify a design for objects in the "Type-oriented" profile, select an object type or "*" and enter the ID of the box shape, box color and text color you require.
- To specify a design for relationships in the "Type-oriented" profile, select a subtype or "A*" or "B*" and enter the ID of the line color and line type you require.
- To specify a design in the "Status oriented" profile, select a plan status (1 to 5) and enter the ID of the box color, text color, box shape, line color and line type you require.
