In this activity you assign condition records for the characteristic combinations in the condition tables.
Example
For the costing component 'Risk costs' you can assign conditions records a risk markup in % in the table with the characteristics 'Customer group' and 'Rating class', for example.
Characteristic 1 Characteristic 2 Condition record
Customer group A Rating class 1 0.5% risk markup
Customer group A Rating class 2 0.7% risk markup
Customer group B Rating class 1 0.8% risk markup
Customer group B Rating class 2 1.0% risk markup
Recommendation
Do not maintain the condition values within the flexible procedures, but rather, e.g. under Characteristic Values in the application menu (Master data-> Characteristic values->Maintain characteristic values) If you cannot yet take the values from the proposal list, you can enter them manually. To reduce the amount of work involved in this you should first specify the characteristic values at the appropriate places and then create the condition records.
Requirements
You must first:
- Define characteristic values for the conditions
- Define condition types.
Activities
- Choose the condition type whose condition table you want to fill with condition records (tables are assigned to the condition type via the access sequence).
- With Edit -> Key combination you can display the condition tables the condition type accesses. Choose the table you require.
- In the subsequent screen, enter a characteristic value for each of the conditions in the screen header.
Enter a validity period within which the table entries are relevant for costing.
Enter the characteristic values for which you anticipate characteristic combinations in connection with the header values. Use the value field search function. Enter the condition records for these combinations on a line-by-line basis by filling the fields Amount and Unit and possibly the fields per and Quantity unit.
- If you want to store quantity scales (value scales) you have to store them for each of these characteristic combinations. To do so, proceed as follows:
- Select the combination you want to scale by clicking on the corresponding line. Use Goto -> Scales to access the "Scales" screen.
- In the case of quantity scales, make sure you have assigned a quantity field (Assign quantity field) and that the quantity unit of the assigned quantity field corresponds to the quantity unit of the condition record, or the required conversion is carried out.
- In the case of value scales, make sure you have assigned a value field (Assign value field).
- Enter the scale values on a line-by-line basis. Determine as from which quantity (or value) which amount applies. The entries in the first line or step of the scale are also shown on the previous screen.
- Save your entries.
Additional information
You can also create condition records in the Define condition types step. To do so choose Define costing condition types -> Goto -> (Select a condition type) -> Details -> Environment -> Records by condition type.
