In this step you define authorization profiles or check whether the delivered profile meets your requirements.
A profile contains authorization objects for a limited task area.
A composite profile contains several profiles.
Profiles and composite profiles help you organize and manage authorizations.
A profile or composite profile entered in the user master record of an employee assigns that employee all the authorizations it contains.
Requirements
- You must first have the authorization to create or maintain profiles.
- If the delivered authorizations do not meet your requirements, you must first create the necessary authorizations
Standard Settings
The SAP standard delivery contains predefined profiles for some typical task areas.
The following profiles are defined in the IS-B System:
- J_B_ISBALL
All authorizations for Bank Profitability Analysis
- P_TRTM_ALL
All authorizations for loans, securities, derivatives, money market and foreign exchange.
Activities
- Check whether the delivered profiles meet your requirements.
- Check whether the profiles are complete i.e. whether all users can carry out the activities they need to.
- If necessary, create new profiles to meet your requirements.
Notes on transport
You transport profiles as follows:
- Display the profiles list.
- Choose "Profile - Transport".
- Select the profiles you wish to transport.
- Confirm your selections and enter the correction number.
