Basically, you can apply the available differentiation types to all condition categories. To restrict the preliminary selection of differentiation types for a condition category you must assign the differentiation types that can be used to each condition category. This restricts the differentiation types displayed when you select the differentiation.
The allocation of the differentiation types is done separately for each condition area. This means you can, for example, set the differentiation possibilites specifically for a product or a bank area.
Example
For the condition category item charge, item counter is a meaningful differentiation type but not, for example, the function.

SAP does not supply any assignments of differentiation types to condition categories.
