In this section you define the status enhancements for the two possible account statuses.
The account status determines if an account is active, meaning it can be posted to, or inactive, making it blocked for processing. Each type of status is further detailed by status enhancements.
Example
The status of an account is inactive. A status enhancement for this could be "due to new opening" or "due to impending closure".
For the account, only the status enhancement is ready for entry, not the field that displays the account status itself. By entering the account status enhancement you control the account status assigned to the account.
Standard settings
With the standard system SAP supplies the status enhancements "Closed/flagged for archiving" and "New creation" for the status "inactive". Do not change these, as the system automatically refers to these settings. The status enhancement "active" that also sets the status to "active" is also pre- set.
Activities
Create the status enhancements each for the account status "active" and "inactive". If you do not want a more detailed account status, there must be at least one status enhancement for setting the status to "active" and one for setting the status to "inactive".
