In this IMG activity, you define the assignment of the fields in the sender structure to the fields in the receiver structure. If these structures are the same, you do not normally need any transfer rules. In the standard system, the fields are transferred 1:1. If, however, you still want to make changes, then you can define transfer rules.
There are two logical areas for maintenance:
Supplying characteristics of a receiver structure with data
Supplying key figures (value and quantity fields) of a receiver structure with data.
Requirements
You need to define the sender structure before you can define the transfer rules.
Recommendation
You need to generate a rule proposal and then change it according to your own requirements (either in the maintenance mode for characteristics or Key Figures under Utilities -> Generate Rule Proposal). The rule proposal provides a 1:1 assignment of the sender and receiver fields. The fields that could be assigned are highlighted in gray. The fields that could not be assigned are highlighted in red.
