In this step, you create the selection classes for your valuation model. The selection class is a combination of selection rules that are evaluated in the same way. You use the selection class to group together these selection rules.
Example
In the system, you can store leave absences under different absence types. If all types of leave absences are to be included in an evaluation, you must define a separate selection rule for each absence type.
You can group together these selection rules in a selection class with the name Leave absences. If required, you can then define an upper or lower threshold (maximum value or threshold value) for all leave absences (see Define Valuation Model).
Requirements
In the Define Selection Rule step, you have created the selection rules for your selection classes.
Recommendation
Create your selection classes so that they represent general functions (for example, in the above example). You can then use the selection classes in different valuation models.
Activities
- Check the selection classes in the standard system.
- If required, assign other selection rules to the standard selection classes:
- Select the required selection class and double-click the node Assignment of selection rules to selection class.
- Choose New entries.
- Assign additional selection rules.
- Choose Save.
- If required, create your own selection classes:
- You access the initial node selection class in the overview tree. Choose New entries.
- Define your selection class and, if required, assign a special class.
- The special class is used to indicate special country-specific or statutory requirements for the evaluation of a selection class.
- Choose Save.
- Select the new selection class and choose Assignment of selection rules to selection class.
- Choose New entries.
- Assign the accompanying selection rules to your selection class.
- Choose Save.
Further notes
The With weighting factor indicator is transferred with the selection rule and is not available for input. You can only assign either selection rules with a weighting factor or selection rules without a weighting factor to a selection class. You cannot choose a combination.
