In general, a valuation model with selection classes and selection rules determines which employee data is selected from the individual infotypes and evaluated in the employment period calculation. The result of a calculation can be rounded as required using a rounding rule.
In this step, you assign a valuation model and rounding rule to a calculation process or to its process steps. In doing this, you can use feature SENOR to perform a differentiated assignment of the valuation model and the rounding rule based on the employee's organizational assignment.
The assignment of a rounding rule is optional. Only use a rounding rule if the calculation process is evaluated in years, months, and days using a conversion rule. For more information, see the step Define Rounding Rules.
Requirements
You have worked through the Valuation Model section for your calculation processes. In doing this, you have copied a valution model to your customer name range or created a new valuation model. You now want to assign this model to the calculation process or its process step. The same applies to the rounding rules.
Standard settings
A suitable valuation model and rounding rules have already been assigned to the calculation processes in the standard system. The valuation model and rounding rules have modified to suit the requirements of the respective calculation processes.
Differentiation using feature SENOR is not generally implemented.
Recommendation
Since the assignment of valuation model and rounding rule relates to Customizing settings, it is possible that not all assignments are available in your customer client. You should therefore compare the entries in your customer client with the entries in the SAP standard clients.
Activities
- To assign the valuation model and rounding rules based on the employee's organizational assignment, choose the step Define Return Value for Assignment.
