By enhancing infotype Contract Elements (0016), you can specify whether the SAP system is to use the new or old public service law for an individual employee.

To be able to use this enhancement of infotype Contract Elements for the public sector, you define a view indicator in feature IVWID (infotype view indicator). All assignments for these employees are defined in this view indicator. In the Customizing settings for the public sector Austria, view indicator AP is used as an example.

You must also maintain the assignment of the view indicator to the infotype. Here, you define which views for an infotype the SAP system should use. For infotype Contract Elements (0016), view indicator AP is required with this infotype and view V574.

If you subsequently introduce the new addition in infotype Contract Elements for existing employees, you must maintain field View Indicator in infotype Payroll Status (0003) for all these employees. In addition, you must create a record of the additional infotype for each existing record of infotype Contract Elements. These tasks are carried out by report RPUPAV00 (Regeneration of Additional ITs for Views). The report uses feature IVWID to fill the view indicator in infotype Payroll Status. It also subsequently generates the records of the additional or secondary infotype that belong to the primary infotype and fills the new fields. Here, the last valid record for a date you specified is delimited in each case and copied with the same date as the start date.
Report RPUPAV00 must be started individually in every client.

Example

An employee already has two records of infotype Contract Elements. The new function should be used on Jan. 1, 1999:

Activities

  1. Choose Define Infotype View Indicator (Feature IVWID) and check feature IVWID.

    Entry AP must exist for country grouping 03 (Austria).

    1. Save your changes.
    2. Choose Activate.
  2. Choose Assignment of Infotypes to Views and check the assignment of view V574 to infotype Contract Elements, dependent on the view indicator.

    Check whether the following entry exists:

    VID    Infty    Infoty.Text    View    ReportName    Screen

    AP    0016    Cntrct El.    V574    MP057400    0100

Save your changes.

  1. Choose Create View Indicator for Existing Personnel Numbers.

    You go to the selection screen for report RPUPAV00 (Regeneration of Additional ITs for Views).

    1. Enter country modifier 03 for Austria.
    2. Enter the required personnel numbers or number ranges.
    3. Choose Execute.

Further notes

A view indicator that has been assigned cannot be changed.

Only one view indicator can be assigned to an employee.
