Use
You can use this Customizing activity to define which InfoProvider of a MultiProvider should be accessed when executing a Query to this MultiProvider. You can associate each InfoProvider with one of the available access types:
- Direct
- Replicated
- Replicated balances.
By selecting one of the above access types, you define the data analysed by all Queries for which the settings are made.
In order to make any settings, you must specify a MultiProvider. If you do not specify a Query, then all settings apply to all Queries of that MultiProvider.
However, you can make also make settings on an individual Query level. Query level settings supersede MultiProvider level settings and so allow for specific Queries within a MultiProvider to be treated independently of one another.
You may also choose not to make any setting, on either a Query or MultiProvider level, in which case the existing standard settings remain valid.
The Overview tab page within Scalability Level Configuration allows you to review all settings made for the selected MultiProvider.
The MasterData - Query Variables tab page provides you with details for InfoObjects relevant to a specified range of Queries. Information that is important and relevant for direct access is displayed here.
Requirements
You have included one of the following InfoObjects as InfoProvider in your MultiProvider:
- 0ACCESSTP
- 0GL_ACCTP
Note: InfoObject 0GL_ACCTP provides access to replicated balances, but 0ACCESSTP does not.
Standard settings
SAP does not deliver any default settings for Scalability Level Configuration other than the existing standard logic, as coded formerly. This logic defines replicated access for the first InfoProvider found (cube type), and direct access for the first virtual InfoProvider found. Replicated balance access is defined for the next virtual InfoProvider.
Activities
Define which InfoProvider should be attached to a given access type. You can set a default access type to apply to all instances which are not defined within the Query Variable.
Example
A possible Scalability Level Configuration for MultiProvider 0FIGL_M20 might be as follows:
Query: Blank. An individual Query is not specified. The configuration applies to all Queries of this MultiProvider.
Hide Variable: Blank. The access type InfoObject is not hidden.
Default Access Type: R. The system shall prefer direct access when executing a Query.
Replicated Data indicator set for 0FIGL_C20. Direct Access indicator set for InfoProvider 0FIGL_R20.
