Note

When a country is assigned to more than one tax community:

  • Each tax community must be assigned a priority.

The system uses these priorities to determine which tax community - and its laws and regulations - is used when the countries involved in a business transaction belong to more than one community.

  • The priorities must be sequentially numbered.

Priorities

  • Default Setting

    Blank or "0".

    • When a country is assigned to one tax community, the system treats this tax community with the highest priority.
  • Highest Priority
    • Blank or "0".
  • Lower Priorities
    • Sequential numbers starting with 1.

Example

Table entries for countries assigned to more than one tax community:

In this example, the tax community EU would be used for transactions between Denmark and Germany.

Use the ISO country codes such as:

DE - Germany

DK - Denmark

Activities

  1. Select New Entries.
  2. Specify the required country by entering the standard 2 digit ISO code.
  3. If required, assign the relevant tax community to the country.
  4. When a country is assigned to more than one tax community, assign priorities as specified above.
  5. Save your entries.
