Use

In this IMG activity, you map reservation categories to challenge groups. You should only map reservation categories belonging to horizontal reservation type.

In the standard system, you maintain challenge group of an employee in Challenge infotype (0004). To determine the reservation category of an employee, you can map reservation categories to challenge groups. System uses this mapping to entitle an employee for benefits based on special benefits.

  1. Choose New Entries.
  2. Select the challenge group.
  3. Select the reservation type.
  4. Save your entries.

Example

Consider a company X with:

  • Reservation categories as:
    • Visually handicapped
    • Orthopedic handicapped
    • Hearing handicapped
    • Ex-serviceman
  • Challenge groups as:
    • Work incapacity
    • Night-shift challenged

You can map reservation categories to challenge groups as follows:

  • Visually handicapped to night-shift challenged
  • Orthopedic handicapped to work incapacity

Hence, an employee, who belongs to a challenge group night-shift challgd, is entitled for benefits applicable for reservation category visually handicapped.
