Use

In this IMG activity, you define and assign reservation categories for reservation types.

Assigning employees to a specific reservation category entitles them for the benefits assigned to that reservation category. The system checks the reservation category of a roster point while assigning an employee to a roster point ID.

Standard settings

Activities

  1. Choose New Entries.
  2. Select the reservation type to which you want to assign the reservation category.
  3. Specify the reservation category.
  4. Specify a description for reservation category.
  5. Save your entries.

Example

Consider a company X with:

  • Reservation types as:
    • Vertical
    • Horizontal
  • Reservation categories eligible for benefits based on caste as:
    • Scheduled caste
    • Scheduled tribe
    • Other backward classes
    • Unreserved
  • Reservation categories eligible for benefits based on special benefits as:   
    • Visually handicapped
    • Orthopedic handicapped
    • Hearing handicapped

You assign reservation categories to the reservation types. You assign reservation categories based on special benefits to horizontal reservation type and reservation categories based on caste to vertical reservation type as follows:

  • Visually handicapped to horizontal reservation type.
  • Scheduled caste to vertical reservation type.
