Use

In this IMG activity, you define reservation types for employees based on:

  • Caste
  • Special benefit

The reservation type differentiates one employee group from another and determines the benefits that apply to a particular group of employees. For each reservation type you maintain reservation categories. The system checks the reservation category of a roster point while assigning an employee to a roster point ID.

  1. Choose New Entries.
  2. Specify a reservation type.
  3. Specify a description for the reservation type.
  4. Save your entries.

Example

Consider a company X that has two groups of employees based on the benefits they are entitled to. You can define reservation types as follows:

  • Vertical reservation type - This is for employees belonging to one the following castes:
    • Scheduled caste
    • Scheduled tribe
    • Other backward classes
    • Unreserved
  • Horizontal reservation type - This is for employees belonging to one of the following categories:
    • Visually handicapped
    • Orthopedic handicapped
    • Hearing handicapped
