Use
The BADI HR_GB_PAE_BADI has been delivered with a method to allow you to manipulate the data that is available to the SMARTFORMs that you use.

Derivation of Notification details (i.e. SAP standard fills structure PAEDATA (DDIC structure P08_PAE_ALL) and that is used for ALL notifications to the employee) but you can either add your own fields (by enhancing P08_PAE_ALL) or manipulate the data within the existing fields as you see fit.

BADI METHOD EXIT_ADJUST_PAEDATA
The main reason you may wish to implement this BADI is to use a field that isn't used in SAP Standard. In SAP standard every single notification is sent or printed. But some customers may not need to send certain notifications due their own business practices. So these can either be reported as warnings or not at all.
The field STOP has three possible settings;
Send Notification
1 Stop Notification, But Issue Warning Instead
2 Stop Notification
