Use
Wage Types to cumulate into Qualifying Earnings
Ensure /117 exists in T512W and then customise all your wage types that make up Qualifying Earnings to be flagged to cumulate into /117.
SAP has delivered the following wage types as flagged to go into /117. You need to ensure that the changes to the Statutory Payment wage types (i.e. SMPR/SMPN) flow into /117 from the date that you want to start populating /117 and not before. You can check the wage types that update /117 using the report international "Use of Wage Types in Payroll" report RPDLGA20.
Requirements
Ensure /117 exists in T512W .
Standard settings
Activities
Your payments that you flag into Qualifying Earnings must be from the following list provided by TPR.
- salary
- wages
- commission
- bonuses
- overtime
- statutory sick pay
- statutory maternity pay
- ordinary or additional statutory paternity pay
- statutory adoption pay
When Paid
Qualifying Earnings is calculated on a When Paid basis. This means that any retrospective changes in Qualifying Earnings are brought forward to the IN period (i.e. the current period being payrolled).
N.B. The only exception to this rule is Late Starters. Late Starters have Qualifying Earnings recalculated in retro and this means that the employee can have qualify earnings before their first pay date.
In the payroll, the When Paid solution for Qualifying Earnings needs wage type /117 to exist retrospectively. If this is not the case, the When Paid solution will bring forward the whole amount of the delta not just the new delta.
