Use

In this Customizing activity, you define or change how the Independent Earners Tax Credit (IETC) for a specific tax code is calculated.

Requirements

If you are creating delimiting the threshold or the maximum IETC values, you must have maintained the tax codes in Create tax code definitions.

Standard settings

Activities

  • Changing IETC for a tax code from a specific date

  1. Select the tax code with the threshold that you wish to change, and choose Delimit.
  2. Enter the new effective date in Start Date.
  3. Enter the relevant IETC values in the following fields:
    • IETC Maximum $
    • Tax Multi Fact
    • Tax Calculation Subtract Amount fields.

  • Creating a new threshold for a tax code (If the old threshold is no longer valid)

  1. End the previous threshold limit at the appropriate date.
  2. Choose Edit -> New entries.
  3. Enter the tax code, threshold and the appropriate amounts under Taxation Details.
