Use

According the to the NZ Holidays Act sick Leave, bereavement leave, alternate days and public holiday absences/attendances are all payable at the relevant daily pay rate. This is the amount that the employee would have earned if they had worked that day. However, if it is not possible to determine this rate for some employees then a calculation can be used instead. Pre April 2011, this calculation was based on a 4 week formula. Post April 2011 this calculation is based on a 52 week calculation and is referred to as Average Daily Pay (ADP).

Use the settings in this Customizing section to determine the following:

  • Wage types that are payable at the relevant daily pay rate
  • Employees who must use a calculated rate
  • Rate to be used
  • Historical values required for calculation.
