Use

In this activity, you configure the profiles for the FMLA Workbench.

You use the various profiles to determine the tasks that FMLA approvers, absence coordinators, and supervisors are permitted to carry out in the FMLA Workbench.

In addition, you can arrange the layout of the FMLA Workbench to a certain extent.

Requirements

Standard settings

The standard system contains model profiles for the various task areas.

Activities

  1. Choose New Entries.
  2. Give the profile a name that will enable you to identify it easily.
  3. Specify the functions the users of the profile are permitted to execute when processing new and existing requests.
  4. Specify how you want the request to be laid out on the screen and whether the users are permitted to view the comments.
  5. Specify the infotype header you want to be used in the FMLA Workbench.
For more information, see the Imlementation Guide for Personnel Administration and choose Change Screen Header.
  6. Specify the functions users are permitted to execute when processing absences.
If you want to connect the Time Manager's Workplace for processing absences, note the following: For users to be able to branch to the Time Manager's Workplace without problems, all employees whose FMLA requests are processed by the user must be listed in the user's employee list in the Time Manager's Workplace.
  7. Specify whether you want clock times to be displayed for the processing of absences.
  8. Specify whether you want users to use the Object Manager to select employees.
