Termination Payment Calculations
Requirements
In this step you adjust schema AUT0 for termination payments.
Standard settings
Payroll subschema
Subschemas are called from the main schema QPS0 with the COPY function (e.g. XAP0).
Structure
The subschema comprises of the following main steps:
IF AUTM (Determine if termination occurs in the pay period)
IF AUHD (Determine if employee has been performing higher duty)
AUT0 (Include HDA as salary for termination valuation basis)
ELSE
AUT1 (Use nominal salary for termination)
ENDIF
AUTTP (Termination payment calculations)
AUTLP (Leave payment calculations)
AUTAD (Append adjust amounts to IT)
AUTLS (Calculation of Lump Sum payments)
ENDIF
Activities
The focus here is on the function AUTLS:
If parameter 1 in payroll function AUTLS is set to 'YES', it signifies that payment and tax calculation of LSL has to be done separately for part time and full time service. After finding out the LSL for the respective periods, it is then cumulated to get the total LSL.
If Parameter 2 in payroll function AUTLS is set to 'YES', it means that if LOS of an employee > 10 years, then while calculating the service days for LSL, the LWOP threshold value as specified in Payroll constants table T511K - constant 'LOSTV', would be checked. i.e. All LWOP's in excess of the threshold value only would reduce the service days for LSL calculation, other LWOP's which are < threshold value would not reduce the service days.
