In this step you combine Absence Types with Absence Quota for parallel deduction.

This need arises because some leave taken deducts other quota as well. The requirement is, if an amount of leave is taken from one leave type, the same amount must also be deducted from its associated leave types.

Example

An employee takes two days of sick leave without medical certificate. That means, in infotype 0573 (Absence infotype for Australia PS) he or she inserts the leave with subtype 0150 (Sick leave without MC). In international infotype 2001 (Absences), this record is stored as two days of absence type 700 (PS: SL - FP (days)) and deducted in infotype 2006 (Absence quotas) from absence quota type 70 (PS: SL FP quota - days). But it is required that this leave is also deducted from absence quota type 72 (PS: SL w/o MC quota - days). Since an additional entry for overlapping days is not allowed, a second entry is created only in infotype 0573 that deducts another two days from absence quota type 72.

• Choose Personnel subarea grouping for absence and attendance types 13.
• Choose Mother Absence Type that induces parallel deduction.
• Choose Employee subgroup grouping for time quota types.
• Choose Personnel subarea grouping for time quota types.
• Choose Quotas to be deducted parallely.
• Set Start date and End date.
• Choose Deduction priority for parallel deduction.
• Choose Save.
