In this step, you define Employer Productivity Superannuation Contributions (EPSC).

An output of this will be:

1. a company contribution amount for an employee per period. This will be fixed for all pay periods within the defined date range on the Superannuation Aust. (IT220) / Superannuation (IT507)infotype; or
2. a percentage amount which will be applied to a period superable salary as determined by the program; or
3. a percentage which is applied to the employee's actual earnings each pay period.

Example

Requirements

Standard settings

Several EPSC have already been created in the standard system.

Recommendation

Use the sample entries provided by SAP as a reference.

Activities

  • Choose Membership Status
  • Set consecutive Record Sequence No.
  • Set Start date and End Date.
  • Enter Australian Public Sector Superannuation salary (APS Super Salary).

Further notes

Membership Status is set as Domain.

Employers are required to pay EPSC for all employees, irrespective of whether the employee is a member or non-member of the CSS/PSS scheme you defined in Specify Funds for Public Sector.

In addition to EPSC, employers are also required to pay employer liability for members of the CSS/PSS scheme. This amount will be a percentage rate as set by the actuary and will vary from agency to agency, with a different rate set for CSS and PSS scheme.
