The Commissioner of Taxation advises that tax instalment deductions need not be made at the time of payment of leave loading payments up to a maximum limit (currently $320) set by the Commissioner in any one financial year. This means if an employee applies for a leave loading and requests it to be untaxed, only the first $320 of the loading will be untaxed, the remaining loading over this amount will be added to normal salary and taxed at marginal rate. In this step you define the value for constant LVELD to specify this maximum limit.
