Initial conditions for loading of historicals
The loading of payroll historicals must cover one year, counting back from the production startup date (12 periods for monthly employees, 52 for weekly employees).
Example
If the first payroll to be processed is for the payroll for the period 01/2000, the historical data to be loaded are the payroll results for the periods comprised between 1/1999 and 12/1999 (for employees with a monthly payroll frequency) or those comprised between 01/1999 and 52/1999 (for employees with a weekly payroll frequency).
Activities
You should fill each table with a file individually. Each record in every file must correspond to a payroll period. You must fill each field in the files accoridng to the structure. The length of the fields should match the fields specified in each structure. The values of the fields should be completed with zeros (for numerical fields) or spaces (for character fields) when the length of a value is less than the specified length (there must be no empty spaces between the fields).
Example:
If the employee number (8 numeric characters)
is 17014, the field value in the file must be 00017014.
All fields referring to dates must have the format YYYYMMDD.
The generation of files corresponding to each of the historical results tables depends on three principal factors:
1. System requirements
2. Legal requirements
3. Customer requirements.
There is a basic way of preparing the files, based on these three factors. Once you have generated the files, the procedure for loading the data into the system is explained in OSS note no. 142427.
