Use
In this Customizing activity, you define the action types and reasons of the Actions (0000) infotype which qualify an employee for the hiring incentives established in the Hiring Incentives to Restore Employment Act (HIRE Act).
Employees that have been hired within the validity period of the HIRE Act using one of the defined hiring reasons are considered as qualifying.
The U.S. government gives the employer exemption of social security tax for the qualifying employees.
Consequently, the exempt wages from infotype 0235, tax type 04 (/704), are reported in the employee's quarterly federal tax return for year 2010.
Note
For the exemption to be correctly considered in the Tax Reporter program, you must define the tax exemption in infotype 0235 for the federal tax authority and tax type 04 with exemption category R (Reportable). In case of concurrent employement you must do this for all relevant assignments in the validity period.
Requirements
When you hire an employee, before you use one of the hiring reasons defined in this activity, the employee must sign an affidavit.
