Use

This Business Add-In (Add-In) is used in the Payroll Singapore: IR8A Report (PY-SG) component.

Use this Business Add-In (Add-In) to configure the following:

  • Calculation methods for an employee's Length of Service (LOS)
  • Display format of Length of Service

The Singapore Income Tax IR8A (New Report) (RPCT8AR0_01) calls this Business Add-In (Add-In). Based on the return value of this BAdI, the report prints the length of service of the employee on the IR8A Form, and in the required format.

Requirements

Carry out this activity only if the following conditions apply:

  • The SAP standard processes do not suit your needs.
  • You are a competent ABAP/4 programmer.

Standard settings

In the standard system, the Business Add-In is not activated.

Activities

After calling up the IMG activity a dialog box appears, in which the existing implementations are displayed. Choose Change, and proceed as follows:

  1. From the tab index, choose Interface.

    The Name of implemented class field is already filled on the tab page, as a class name was automatically assigned to the implementation when you named it.

  2. Save your entries, and assign the implementation to a development class.
  3. Place the cursor on the method, and double-click to enter method processing.
  4. Enter the code for the implementation between the statements method <Interface name> ~ <Name of method> and end method.
  5. Save and implement your code. Return to the Edit Implementation screen.

    Note: You can also create an implementation, and then activate it at a later time. In such a case, end the processing stage at this point.

  6. Choose Activate.

    The code you stored in the method will be run when the application program is executed.
