In this step, you can assign a single or many absence quota type(s) to an attendance/absence type that is defined as parental leave. Parental leave is an unpaid absence however it has an impact on the payment of annual leave. If parental leave is taken during a leave year, any annual leave absences deducted from that same leave year are paid at the average weekly rate.

Requirements

The absence quota types and the attendance/absence types must already be defined in the system.

  1. Choose the attendance/absence types to be treated as parental leave in the A/AType field.
  2. Enter the appropriate absence quota type in the AQty field.
  3. Save your entries.
