Use

Severances attributed to a termination infotype 0713 register are processed in the payroll by function P0713 in the calculation schema. For each severance a wage type is created. In this step you can verify how the severances will be handled in the function P0713.

Standard settings

The severances delivered with the standard are maintained.

Activities

In a first step you can check the wage type that is generated for a given severance. The number and/or amount of the wage type is computed with the associated function.

In most cases the function returns only a number and the wage types need to be evaluated afterwards in the payroll schema by means of own payroll functions, cycles, or averages (X015 or AVERA).

Sometimes the evaluation is quite easy and is done by means of a secondary wage type. This can be maintained in the second step of this activity. Given a termination type, employee grouping and severance type you can determine which wage type should be used as a basis. The amount (BETRG) or, if empty, the amount per unit (BETPE) will be taken. Furthermore you should indicate the percentage of basis to be used (i.e. 100% for the complete amount).

In case that you might want to create your own severance, you need to maintain the wage type and eventually create a function which will compute the corresponding number or amount. We advice that you copy a function delivered by the standard, as the interface must be excatly the same for all. You can use function HR_99S_TERM_SEV_EXAMPLE as a dummy example.
