Use

In this IMG activity, you can configure the NE State Tax Exemption constant (NETAX).

As per specification from Income Tax department, an employee is eligible for NE State Tax Exemption under Section 10 (26) based on the following conditions:

  • Employee belongs to a community eligible for NE State Tax Exemption

    Note: You can maintain the communities eligible for this exemption in Determine Ee Community Eligibility for NE Tax Exemp. feature (40NET).

  • Employee employed in any of the North-East (NE) states of India

If employees in your organization are eligible for Section 10 (26) exemptions then you can set the value of the constant to 1.

Requirements

Standard settings

By default, the value of the constant is set to 0.

Recommendation

SAP recommends that you maintain this constant only at the beginning of the financial year.
