In this activity, you assign the statutory contribution rates for the employee and the employer to the Provident Fund.

The employer is also required to contribute to an insurance fund called Employee Deposit Linked Insurance (EDLI), which is paid to the nominee in case of the employees death.

  1. Enter the contribution type as assigned in the previous activity in the Cont. type field.
  2. Enter the employees contribution rate in the Ee Contrib field.
  3. Enter the employers contribution rate in the Er Contrib field.
  4. Enter the percentage of the employers pension contribution in the Er Pen.ctr field.
  5. Enter the employers contribution towards provident fund administrative charges in the PF Adm. Ch field.
  6. Enter the employers contribution towards employee deposit linked insurance (EDLI) in the EDLI Contr field.
  7. Enter the employers contribution towards EDLI administrative charges in the EDLI Admin field.
  8. Enter the start and end dates for the period.
  9. Save your entries.
