In Germany, there are different child allowance rates for children within the country and children abroad. You maintain the different amounts in the previous steps. In this step, you define the countries of residence for which the child allowance is paid for children abroad. To do this, you maintain KGLND (Child Allowance in the Public Sector).

You can also use the country of residence, which is saved in the Child Allowance infotype (0118), to define the calculation method. The system uses two calculation methods:

  • 01: (Domestic) child allowance is paid (constants OKKG1 - OKKG4).
  • 02: Child allowance is paid for children abroad (constants OKKG5 - OKKG9).

Example

Employees from former Yugoslavia and from Turkey are to receive child allowance (for children abroad) for their children who remain in their homeland (calculation method 02). For all other countries of residence, normal child allowance is paid (calculation method 01 ):

The corresponding settings for feature KGLND are as follows:

Activities

Check feature KGLND. If a change is necessary, proceed as follows:

  1. Modify feature KGLND.
  2. Choose Check.
  3. Choose Save.
  4. Choose Activate.
