In this step, you maintain feature KG118 (Automatic Defaults for Child Allowance Infotype (0118)).
With this feature, you activate and control the automatic default values used when a data record is created for the Child Allowance infotype. The functions are as follows:
- If a child is not yet 18 years of age on the validity start date of the data record, the system proposes the following values:
- Validity period of data record
- Entitlement to child allowance
- Reason for entitlement
- If the child is over 18 years of age, the system determines the end date from the start date of the data record plus a defined number of months from feature KG118.
Example
An employee has a child on March 10, 2000. The administrator has already created the child in the Family/Related Person infotype (0021) and now creates a data record in the Child Allowance infotype (0118). The automatic default functions enter the following values:
- Start date: 01.03.2000
- End date: 31.03.2018
- Entitlement: Child
- Reason: Up to 18 years
