In this step, you maintain the assignment of external and internal family-related bonus classes to the collective agreements for the Public Sector (family-related bonus class and pay scale class are synonyms). The system uses this assignment in the indirect valuation of the family-related bonuses.

In this step, you assign a family-related bonus class to each pay scale group based on the pay scale type, pay scale area, and grouping of employee subgroups for the pay scale rules. In the next step, you maintain the individual elements and the accompanying amounts for each family-related bonus class.

Internal and external family-related bonus class

You need the internal family-related bonus class if the (external) family-related bonus class is not unique and must be assigned several times. This is the case for the increase amount for the child element which causes different child elements for the same number of children.

In the lower pay scales for the Public Sector, the child element is supplemented by an increase amount. This increase amount is currently DEM10 for the first child and DEM30 for each additional child. If the child element is supplemented by the increase amount, the child element in the family-related bonus is also increased according to the number of children.

In the Basic Pay infotype (0008), the system always displays the external pay scale class number in the Pay scale class field. If the element is calculated, for example, in indirect valuation or in Payroll, the system uses the internal pay scale class first. The system only uses the external family-related bonus class if there is no entry for the internal family-related bonus class.

Standard settings

In the standard system, the family-related bonus classes are maintained for the most common collective agreements for the Public Sector.

Activities

  1. Enter a work area. The country grouping for Germany is 01.
  2. Check the existing family-related bonus classes for the individual pay scale groups.
  3. In the FRBcl field, maintain the (external) family-related bonus class.
  4. If an internal family-related bonus class is required, maintain this in the FRBcl.int. field.
  5. Save your entries.
