In this step, you modify feature DOF02 (Automatic Defaults for Family-Related Bonuses Infotype (0595)).
With this feature you activate and control the automatic defaults for the creation of a data record in the Child Element and Bonuses subtype for the Family-Related Bonuses infotype. The automatic default functions apply to the following:
- If a child is younger than 18 years old on the validity start date of the data record, the system proposes the following values:
- Validity period of data record
- Entitlement to child element
- Entitlement to child increase amount
- If a child is older than 18 years, the system determines the end data from the start date of the data record plus the number of months as defined in feature DOF02.
Example
An employee has a child on March 10, 2000. The administrator has already entered the child in the Family/Related Person infotype (0021) and now creates a data record in the Family-Related Bonuses infotype (0595). The automatic default functions enter the following values in the Child Element and Bonuses subtype:
- Start date: March 01, 2000
- End date: March 31, 2018
- Child element: Child
- Reason: Up to 18 years
- Child increase amount: Entitlement

The automatic defaults are active in the SAP standard system.
