Use

For the conversion of the Leave Entitlement infotype (0005) to the Absence Quotas infotype (2006) as the basis for leave entitlements in the construction industry, take the following notes into account and the Customizing settings for Time Management.

1. Plan the conversion so that the validity period of the Absence Quotas infotype (2006) starts at the year-end.
2. See the documentation for the report Transfer of Remaining Leave from Infotype 0005 to Infotype 2006 (RPTLEACONV).
3. Make the following settings in Customizing under Time Management -> Time Data Recording and Administration -> Absences -> Absence Catalog -> Absence Counting:
• Rules for Absence Counting (New): Specification of groupings
  Example provided: Employee subgroup grouping B
  For the Absence Quotas infotype (2006), it is possible to group the employee subgroups.
  Use as few groupings as possible.
• Rules for Absence Counting (New) -> Define Counting Rules
• Assign Counting Rules to Absence Types
• General Time Management
4. Make the following settings in Customizing under Time Management -> Time Data Recording and Administration -> Managing Time Accounts Using Attendance/Absence Quotas:
• Setting Groupings for Time Quotas
  Example provided: Employee subgroup grouping B (see above)
• Define Absence Quota Types and Indicate Leave
  Example provided: B 01, all indicated as Leave
5. Make the following settings in Customizing under Time Management -> Time Data Recording and Administration -> Managing Time Accounts Using Attendance/Absence Quotas:
   (This step is necessary so that default values are generated when you create new records in infotype 2006 or validity periods and deduction periods from the remaining leave entitlements in infotype 0005 can be set in infotype 2006.)
• Calculating Absence Entitlements -> Rules for Generating Absence Quotas -> Set Base Entitlements
• Calculating Absence Entitlements -> Rules for Generating Absence Quotas -> Determine Validity and Deduction Periods
• Quota Deduction Using Attendances/Absences -> Define Deduction Rules for Absence and Attendance Quotas
  Example: B 01 001
• Calculating Absence Entitlements -> Rules for Generating Absence Quotas -> Define Generation Rules for Quota Type Selection
6. Check the Customizing settings for quota generation.

In principle, it is possible to depict the default values for quota entitlements using Time Management. You can override the leave entitlement in the view V_T5DB_UREGELN.
