Use

Create RFC Destination for BC

Data is exchanged between the SAP system and the Business Connector (BC) using an RFC connection (connection type T, TCP/IP). You can create this connection in transaction SM59<'/> (RFC Destinations (Display/Maintain)):

  • Enter HR_DE_RBM_BC (or the value that you maintained in constant RFCMQ) as the RFC destination. The RFC destination is used to call the function modules.
  • Choose the connection type T (start external program via TCP/IP).
  • Choose the activation type Registered Server Program. When implementing the Business Connector, enter ZFA_BC_<system name>_<client> as the program ID. The program ID is used again later on the BC page. In the Business Connector, the program ID is used to define the listeners (program ID).

    Example of program ID:

    BC:     RBM_BC_<system name>_<client> => RBM_BC_PRO_010

The connection cannot be tested until the listener has been set up and activated on the Business Connector.

Specific Notes for the Business Connector:

Unicode:
For a Unicode system, select the Unicode checkbox under "Special Options". The listener must also be selected as a Unicode listener on the BC.

If you use more than one server for your system, you can define one of them as a gateway, meaning that you only have to maintain this one connection in the BC. Enter the server as the gateway host and, under Gateway Service, enter the system number in the form "sapgw<system number>".

Example:
Gateway host: LS0096
Gateway service: sapgw05
