In this step, you define the rules for the calculation of severance pay. These rules depend on the employee grouping, on the reason for termination and on the severance pay code.

Requirements

The following configurations must have already been made:

  1. Defining the employee grouping:

    To use your own employee groupings, follow the instructions in the IMG step: Payroll -> Termination -> Severance pay -> Employee grouping -> Define employee grouping for calculation of severance pay.

  2. Creating reasons for termination:

    The termination reason is a subtype of the infotype Termination (0661). To create a new subtype, follow the instructions in the IMG step: Payroll -> Termination -> Define reason for leaving.

  3. Creating severance pay codes:

    The various types of severance pay are identified by severance pay codes. To create your own codes, follow the instructions in the IMG step: Payroll -> Termination -> Severance pay -> Definition of severance pay -> Define severance pay codes.

Recommendation

Before creating new types of termination and/or new types of severance pay, make sure none of the entries supplied by SAP meet the needs of your company.

Activities

To carry out this activity:

  1. Select an employee grouping, a termination reason and a severance pay code for the combination corresponding to the calculation of severance pay.
  2. For this combination, specify:
    1. If necessary, the termination code used to associate the SAP standard termination reasons with the causes established by the Brazilian law.
    2. The wage type used as basis for the corresponding calculation of severance pay, if the valuation of severance pay is not carried out based on the /0XX configured in view V_512W_B. If there are bases in both views, V_T7BR90 and V_512W_B, the system uses the wage type specified in this activity to make the calculation.
      If necessary, specify a percentage to be applied on the specified wage type.
  3. Save your entries.
