In this step you determine the validity period of the several types of severance pay and assign the function module and thye corresponding wage types to each type of severance pay.

The function modules for the calculation of severance pay have already been created in the IMG step: Payroll -> Termination -> Severance pay -> Definition of severance pay -> Define calculation of severance pay .

Recommendation

Before creating your own function modules for the calculation of severance pay, make sure that the ones supplied by SAP really do not meet the needs of your company.

Activities

To carry out this activity:

  1. Assign a function module to each severance pay code.
  2. Assign to each severance pay code the wage type that contains the payment of the corresponding severance pay:
    • The first field Result wage type groups the wage types that contain the payment of the corresponding severance pay.
    • The second field Result wage type groups the wage types that contain the deduction of the corresponding severance pay. This field is only relevant to make deductions regarding notice period, when the option "Deduction" is selected in the infotype Termination (IT0661).
      • If the second field is not filled in (deduction wage types), the system makes the payment of severance pay with the payment wage types, regardless of the selection in "Notice period data" of infotype 0661.
  3. If necessary, specify a special attribute for each severance pay code, in order to control severance pay in the infotype.
  4. Save your entries.
