In this chapter of the implementation guide you define if the employee's absence calculation should use the commercial month (30 days) or month days (calendar) as a basis.
Example
Requirements
To execute the activities described in this section, you must have copied the calculation rule BRFK and the subschema BRFE, as described in section Payroll --> Absences --> Calculate leave wage types .
Standard settings
In SAP standard version, absence calculation is made based on month days (calendar month).
Recommendation
Activities
To define month days for absence calculation, you must change the call of calculation rule BRFK in subschema BRFE, as follows:
- Copy the calculation rule BRFK to a new one, with a name permitted for users (for example, ZRFK).
- Make the necessary changes in your subschema copied from BRFE:
- If you want to use the commercial month (thirty days) for absence calculation, deactivate the rules BRFK, BRF6 and BRX0 in the schema (warning: BRFK comes up twice in the schema and it must be deactivated twice). Then, activate the rules BRFI, BR6F and BR0X, that can be found in the standard schema, but are deactivated by default. This way, the rule takes 30 days into account for the calculations and disregards month days (calendar).
Warning: The changes must be performed in both the calls present in the subschema.
- Save and activate your subschema.
- If you have made changes in the subschema, you should also change specification of processing class 10 of
wage type M010, choosing the option in accordance to those changes: - Partial period factor /803 refers to month days (calendar) and partial period factor /804 refers to commercial month (30 days).
- Save your entries.
