In this step, you check the municipality numbers, municipality codes, municipality status, and postal codes. This data is required for the payment of municipal taxes.
Standard settings
The source of the data stored in the standard system is the overview of municipalities provided by the Austrian Federal Office on Statistics in Vienna.
Activities
- Perform the activity.
You reach the Municipalities screen.
- Check the entries for the municipality code, name, number (MunNo field), and status (Mncpl Sts field). In most cases, no changes are necessary.
- Some municipalities have multiple postal codes (such as Vienna). Check the postal codes for these municipalities:
- Select the entry with the municipality code you want to check.
- Choose the Postal Codes of Municipality view.
- Check the postal codes specified. For the postal code of the municipal office, the MOffPCd checkbox is selected. You will normally not make any changes here.
