To calculate the SAC (annual statutory bonus), the standard SAP system offers three options in regards to divisor type:

  • Use the divisor type entered in the first parameter of function ARPRO.
  • Use divisor type 30, regardless the type of divisor used for other calculations.
  • Use the number of calendar days as divisor type, regardless of the type of divisor used for other calculations.

In this section of the Implementation Guide, you can specify the divisor type that you want to use to calculate the SAC.

Standard settings

To calculate the SAC, the standard SAP R/3 sytem uses the divisor type entered in the first parameter of function ARPRO, i.e. divisor 30.
For additional information regarding the setting of function ARPRO, see the Implementation Guide, section Payroll Argentina -> Global settings -> Payroll organization -> Maintain payroll schema for divisor 30.

Recommendation

Activities

If you want to calculate the SAC using the same divisor type used in funtion ARPRO, then you do not need to carry out any activity.

If you want to calculate the SAC using a divisor type other than the one used in funciton ARPRO, then:

  1. Check whether you have copied payroll schema AR00 to your own schema.
    1. If you have already copied payroll schema AR00 to your own schema, go to step 3 and follow the instructions using your own schema.
    2. If you have yet not copied payroll schema AR00 to your own schema, go to step 2 and follow the instructions.
  2. Copy payroll schema AR00 to your own schema, which must be given a name that falls within the customer names range, such as for instance, ZAR0.
  3. Copy payroll subschema ARSC to your own subschema. which must be given a name that falls within the customer names range, such as for instance, ZARC.
  4. Change this new subschema (ZARC) as follows:
    1. If you want to use 30 as the number of days in each month when calculating the SAC (divisor 30), enter 30 in column Par1 of line SAC calcultaion (function ARSAC).
    2. If you want to use the number of calendar days in each month as a divisor when calculating SAC, enter C in column Par1 of line SAC calculation (function ARSAC).
    3. Save and activate this modification.
  5. Include this new changed schema (ZARC) in the new payroll schema (ZAR0).
  6. Save your entries.

Note

It is important to note that you cannot use the number of calendar days for all your company's calculations and, at the same time, use the divisor 30 to calculate the SAC.
The opposite situation, however, is possible: you can use the divisor 30 for all of your company's calculation and at the same time use the number of calendar days to calculate the SAC.

Further notes

Use your own schema for all your payroll runs.

For additional information, see the documentation for function ARSAC.

For additional information regarding the copying of schemas, see the transaction application help.
