In order to calculate leave reserve correctly, you must transfer the results of calculations carried out with the previous system before you begin using the SAP payroll.

This data is necessary because the SAP R/3 system calculates the differences in reserves and in contributions between the current and the previous periods.

Requirements

Before you perform this step you must transfer the HR Master data. To do this, see the instructions set out in the Implementation Guide, in the section Personnel Administration -> Personnel Administration -> Tools -> Data Transfer Workbench: HR Master Data.

Activities

Enter the following wage types:

  1. Wage types defined as leave reserve for the current year and the previous year via the Implementation Guide, activity Payroll Argentina -> Leave reserve -> Assign leave reserve wage type to leave quota. For these wage types, you must enter both the amount and the number of reserve days.
  2. The wage types defined as leave correction for the current year and the previous year through the Implementation Guide, activity Payroll Argentina -> Leave reserve ->Assign leave reserve wage type to leave quota.
Through these wage types you can enter into the system the paid leave that reduces leave quotas with days pending payment. For these wage types, you must enter the amount as well as the number of paid leave days.
  3. The wage types corresponding to reserve contributions for the current year:
    1. If your company generates the contributions on the total reserves:
    2. Wage type /PC1: Retirement contribution on leave reserve
Wage type /PC2: INSSJP contribution on leave reserve
Wage type /PC3: Welfare Fund contr. on leave reserve

Wage type /PE5: Corr. family allow.contr.on leave reserve
Wage type /PE6: Correct. of ART contr. on leave reserve

    4. Wage type /PF1: Retirement contribut. on leave reserve NU
Wage type /PF2: INSSJP contribution on leave reserve NU
Wage type /PF3: Welf.Fund contrib. on leave reservet NU

Wage type /PH5: Corr.of fam.allow.contr. on leave reserve NU
Wage type /PH6: Corr.of ART contrib. on leave reserve NU

Wage type /PO2: INSSJP contr. on leave reservet NU
Wage type /PO3: Welfare Fund contr. on leave reserve NU

Wage type /PQ5: Corr.family allow.contr. on leave reserve NU
Wage type /PQ6: Corr. ART contr. on leave reserve NU

For further information on generating contributions on reserves see the Implementation Guide, section Payroll Argentina -> Leave reserve -> Define generation of leave reserve contributions.

You should enter the wage types mentioned above into the system through the Implementation Guide, activity Payroll Argentina -> External System Data Transfer -> Wage Types only for the last period settled using the previous system.
In this way, schema ARK0 can later process these periods together with the corresponding wage types.

You must also enter into the system the data of paid leaver that reduces a leave quota with days payable remaining. You can do this by creating an entry in the Absences (2001) or Time Quota Compensations (0416) infotype in which you report the leave days that have been taken and are to be subtracted from a quota.

Therefore, before running the first payroll using the schema ARK0, you must also generate the leave quotas that have days pending payment and that should be used by the leave reserve. Please keep in mind that the quotas with generated and paid days must be correct in the productive start period.

If there are quotas for previous years with days pending that should be included in the leave reserve calculation within the regular payroll via the SAP R/3 system, proceed as follows:

  1. Transfer this SAP system data using the corresponding wage types (/Pxx, MPx1, MSx1). This should be done through the Implementation Guide, section Payroll Argentina - > External System Data Transfer -> Wage type periods and Wage types. This is important for differentiating the same wage types with different splits.
  2. In the Amount per Unit field (BETPE) of these wage types you should enter the year to which these wage types belong. It is worth pointing out that this is only necessary for wage types corresponding to quotas for years prior to the data transfer. For wage types corresponding to leave quotas in the current year, it is not necessary to enter anything in the Amount per Unit field.

Further notes

For more information regarding the system settings for calculating leave reserve, see also Payroll Argentina -> Leave reserve.
