In this step, you check the table that defines the monthly standard compensation amount and its corresponding grade for national pension.
The monthly standard compensation amounts form the basis for calculating the employees' insurance premium amounts in monthly payroll accounting.
Activities
- When checking, confirm the monthly compensation amounts, the standard compensation amounts and the corresponding grades maintained for the currently valid version of the standard compensation amount table.
The tables are issued by the Korean Ministry of Welfare. - The validity period for the version of the table can be referenced in the second step of this Implementation Guide activity.
- You do not need to maintain the entries as SAP will deliver the newest version of the table as soon as regulations change.
- In case you need to make changes in exceptional cases, please keep in mind that you have to keep the former version of the table. SAP recommends to copy the existing version to a new one, adjust the amounts and grades, and then use the DELIMIT function to delimit the validity period of the old version and at the same time set the period for the new one.
Standard settings
The standard system contains the current regulations.
Recommendation
The standard entries should be maintained only when the regulation changes.
In any other cases, we recommend to not change the standard configuration, since inaccurate settings may cause malfunction in payroll accounting and legal reports.
