Use

In this IMG activity, you can define and view a range of temporary Personnel Numbers used during the Personnel Action Approval Process (PAAP).

Changes made to an employee's master data are provisionally stored with a temporary Personnel Number and sent for approval to the Human Resources (HR) department. After approval from the HR department, the changes are stored to the employee's standard Personnel Number maintained in the system.

Activities

To define a range of temporary Personnel Numbers:

  1. Select Change Intervals.
  2. Enter the serial number for the range you want to define in the No. field.
  3. Enter the lower limit for the range in the From No. field.
  4. Enter the upper limit for the range in the To No. filed.

    Note

    The NR Status field displays the last number used from the range defined.

  5. Select the Ext indicator if you do not want the system to pick a temporary Personnel Number from the range of numbers. In this case, you can manually assign a temporary Personnel Number that falls within the defined range.
  6. Save your entries.
