Use

In this activity, you can transport any service objects you have created. This is necessary if you have created your service objects in a development system and now want to transport them to a test system and production system.
An automatic transport function is not available for service objects.

You have the following options when transporting service objects:

  • You can specify any number of service objects to be transported in one transport request.
  • You can specify a service object that you have deleted and should be deleted in the follow-on systems.
  • You can specify a transport request.

When you choose Execute, either the specified transport request is used or a transport request is generated in the transport system, which you can release at a time that suits you.

Only the Customizing entries made in the Web services tool are transported. The structures, function groups, function modules, and the Web services themselves are generated in the target system by an after-import method.

Note that when data is transported to the target system a runtime configuration is not created. You have to do this manually using transaction SOAMANAGER. When doing so, the security settings specified in the Web services tool apply and must not be exceeded.

This is in contrast to the development system in which the tool is being used, where the runtime configuration of a service is always released with the basic authentication after being activated, irrespective of the security setting made in the UI.

Requirements

You require authorization object CRM_WST to transport service objects.
