Use

In this step, you activate SAP Portfolio and Project Management workflow processes. Workflows start as reactions to events triggered by the application. If you want to establish the link between an event and a workflow or task defined by SAP, you must activate this link.

Requirements

Automatic workflow Customizing must be complete.

For more information, see the following documentation for WebFlow Engine in SAP Help Portal:

  1. Go to http://help.sap.com and choose SAP NetWeaver.
  2. Select the desired release of documentation.
  3. Choose SAP NetWeaver Library -> SAP NetWeaver by Key Capability -> Application Platform by Key Capability-> Business Services -> SAP Business Workflow -> Role Documentation -> Roles in Workflow -> Workflow System Administrator -> Business Workflow Administration -> Workflow System Administration.
    • For information about workflow Customizing, choose Automatic Workflow Customizing.
    • For information about classifying tasks, choose Customizing for Tasks and Workflows.

Activities

Execute the activity and select the application component Portfolio and Project Management.

You need to perform the following main steps:

  • Activate links between events and workflows or tasks.

To activate links between events and tasks, proceed as follows:

  1. Select the application component PPM.
  2. Choose Activate Event Linking.
  3. Select a task or workflow for processing.

Only some workflows and tasks have triggering events. This is indicated by the symbol in front of the name.

  1. Activate the link.

Doing this determines which of the links you want to use.
